Join singer/songwriter, musician and Minnesota Master Naturalist Pierre
Jacques Pleau for an interactive musical presentation on creative ways that people are ‘Thinking Green’ by saving,
sharing &/or reusing all kinds of items. ‘Thinking Green’ can be as simple as following nature’s
example of the growing cycle… In the garden, try planting ‘open pollinated’ or ‘heirloom’
vegetable seeds. Once they mature, save the seeds from your best vegetables and plant them the next growing season.
‘Shopping Local’ can be as close as your own backyard!

Join singer/songwriter, musician and Minnesota Master
Naturalist Pierre Jacques Pleau at Wild River State Park’s Amphitheater for toe tapping fiddle tunes and songs
stories that celebrate our natural treasures.
Date: Sat. Sept. 9
Location: Wild River State Park Campground Amphitheater
(Trail Center if raining)
Directions: From 35E at North Branch,
go east on Hwy 95, 12 miles to Almelund, turn left (North) on Park Trail and go 3 miles to park entrance. Follow the
signs to the campgrounds, park in the parking lot and walk down the short 1 block trail to the Amphitheater.
Park Vehicle Permit: $7 one-day permit or $35 year-round permit (note: the year-round permit can be used for
admittance at all MN State Parks).
In 2011, Pierre wrote and directed the Youth Musical, Land, Air & Water, which explores many environmental
topics. Since then he has been giving interactive performances in these areas including presentations on water education
at Children’s Water Fest – a Chisago County Educational event for approximately 700 5th grade students.
