While traveling down the wagon trail the pioneers encounter many obstacles:  ruts, rocks, rain storms and muddy hills, but they persevere through it all and make it to their destination – a camp site where they’ll spend their final night together before heading their separate ways to homestead the land.  Unbeknown by the pioneers, as their wagon train rolls into camp it draws the attention and curiosity of those already living in the vicinity.   Shortly the Raccoons, Rusty & Royal sneak around and put on pioneer disguises with the intention of inviting themselves to the pioneer’s picnic.  The Hermits, Hadley and Harlow on the other hand would just as soon see the pioneers leave!  Sensing that intervention might be needed to resolve brewing conflicts, the Fairies hold a special meeting to figure out how to help keep peace in the land.  Meanwhile at the picnic, still unaware of what is just beyond their view in the forest, the pioneer youth share stories about their homelands, their journey and their dreams for their future…

The pioneers traveled down the wagon trail “Beneath the Big Blue Sky”
Now it is time for them to realize their dreams by homesteading the land…
During the first planting season, to meet challenges and overcome obstacles,
friends and neighbors come together to lend each other a helping hand…

  2009BTNPines/BTNP101.JPG    2009BTNPines/BTNP102.JPG
“Thank you for coming to help with the planting.”

“We’re glad to help. We may be cousins, but even if you were a newcomer –
I’d still come to lend a hand – for friendship grows in the garden.”

“More helping hands will be arriving soon. We let all
of our neighbors know about your plight and their response warmed my heart.”

“I’m at a loss for words. All I can say is that, when my Father had his accident,
I didn’t have any glimmer of doubt that we would still accomplish the springtime plantings.”
